While I was reading, the door to her office was open and I was pointed that way so that I could see. My mom didn't turn on the lights. She was working at the computer. So then there was this shadow and I looked up to see this guy. And this is what he said. "Whats up, nerd". And I was like, I'd prefer the term 'geek'. I actually said that. Before, when my mother and I just got there she was on the phone with someone. She refereed to this 'person' as Robin. Who I assumed, was a girl. Boy, was I wrong. He was that guy. So, because of that 'nerd' comment, I was going for the kill.
'Oh, your Robin. I thought Robin was a girl name. I actually assumed that's who my mom was talking to earlier.' He was like, hmph, and my mom was like Ooohh!!! To that guy. And I was like, *smirk. So anyway, for some reason he started showing me pictures.
1. Top Pic: Spiderman punching SandMan.
Bottom Pic: Gaara is all like 'OMG' with his face'
2. A real cat on a carpet with a rainbow coming out of its butt
3. It said, and I qoute: I'm an OTAKU. Are you?
My answer to that last one was an immediate, none hesitating, 'Yes' and he was all like, 'What do you know about that?' and I was like, 'I know, everything about that' and at that moment we were like
MUTUAL RESPECT
Then he showed my mom.
Thank you for that.
My mom, of course, being who she was, didn't know what an otaku was as was all like 'Whats that? What is it? Tell me!' and we were all like 'You wouldn't understand.'
And that's the story between me, my mom, and the 37 year old otaku.
I have one question for you though.
I'm an otaku. Are you?
WOW
