Anime Reveiw: Sunday Without God

This anime, I seriously liked.

*note, this is a world completely made up so SHUT YOU PIE HOLE ABOUT LOGIC~! By now you should now that this blog says EF LOGIC in the most wholeheartedly way*

At the beginning god created the world, but pretty soon, he abandoned it, leaving the people behind. That was 15 years ago, and children could no longer be born as well as people could no longer die. Instead they would just be dead, without having died. They could walk, talk, and do anything a normal human could do besides the fact that they were deceased and could rot, go insane, anything a normal dead body would do. So...not exactly zombies. Anyway, Ai Astin is 12 years old and a gravekeeper. After god supposedly abandoned the world (the legend says he left on a Sunday) he granted people's wishes as well. Like, straight out. People didn't want to die and turn to nothing, BAM now your these weird, insane things like from the Pet Cemetery. Oh but now you regret it and want to die? Okay here, have some gravekeeper all up your butt. Gravekeepers are people (later you'll find out that they're not really what they seem) who can kill the deceased by burying them. So Ai Astin's mom died when she was young and she had to take up the role as gravekeeper in her village. Then one day, this guy comes into the village and freaking MURDERS EVERYBODY without a reason! Like, what the heck is with that? And that, my friend, is where the story truly begins. First episode.

So this anime. Was. In my opinion. Pretty awesome.

This anime follows a young girl named Ai Astin, as she continually states throughout the anime to the numerous, yet seemingly unimportant, characters throughout the show. To some people's dismay, and other's entertainment, this anime has no real plot that can be seen besides the fact that this girl's father tells her to keep living and I think he implied, fulfill her dreams to save the world through gravekeeping. (yeah, it's an adjective) In case you didn't know, Gravekeepers are the only people who can kill the walking dead (although not what your thinking, they are  not  zombies, they're just not alive, and not very pretty looking and sometimes go insane).

Anyway, so that's it. It's just this 12 year old girl spreading her philosphies around this godless world. And although it is just a stream of arcs, one after another, it does hold up the idea (somewhat) that Ai is trying to accomplish her dream. It's entertaining to say the least. It really is, with each arc being unique in some way that'll leave you wanting to finish the anime. Of course, until the arc is over and they thrust you into the next one. Almost all the characters are likable (in my opinion they all are) and it is an interesting world that the writer created and, in my opinion, resembling a rpg game that you play online or a  Yu Yu Hakusho line up with less episodes and no fillers. So yeah, I'd recommend this anime.

But one warning.
THAT. ENDING. THOUGH. Dangit Ai, you beautiful, honest, awesome, kind person you!! DANGIT! TT^TT

Orange Hair- Ai Astin (I swear, she's not as annoying as she looks)
Silver- Hampnie Hamburt (think that's how you spell it)
Brown- Julie Sakuma Dmitreyevich
Purple- Scar

Oh yeah, and there are more important characters introduced later on, but it one, kind of ruins it, and two, I'm to lazy to even reach up and press the actual number rather than type it out because it's easier. So, byezers! ENJOY!!
