Amnesia Review

So I know that I recommended Amnesia, a reverse harem anime a while ago, but I never actually watched it. I just liked the summary and was like 'Ooo!! This looks gooood!' I actually started watching almost directly after I posted about it. I never did say how it really was now that I have seen it. So today I will do a review on Amnesia. Also a summary, because who doesn't love summaries?

Amnesia is not really the average reverse harem. It's not some girl who was bullied and suddenly guys want to protect her, or she just happens to transfer to an all boy's school, or, worse case scenario, she ends up living with 6 vampires. *cough* Yui *cough* cough*. It is a little slow, and really confusing at first, and for a while, but I kind of like it.

At the beginning a girl wakes up with no memories in a cafe. A fairy or something is overhead and staring at her. She is told that she has no memories and that she can only regain them if she keep playing with the relationships she had. So for the first episode, she's stumbling about trying to figure out what to do without telling anyone that she has amnesia, along with Orion, the fairy, that guides her. She was super ditsy at first, which was very annoying, but she was also super shy and had no idea what to do. So when she ends up falling off a cliff I was surprised. Then she wakes up again and it starts getting really confusing. She is back to the day where she first woke up. She is also in a hospital, and this guy (Shin) that worked in the shop with her comes in and tries to kisses her. And her manager also has a different personality. The people that worked at the cafe don't all work there anymore. She has an injury on her head and Orion is gone. Since she is not very good at being assertive she is even MORE stumble making her an even MORE annoying character. Though she eventually takes charge, turning her into a more like able character, though on the most part she has close to no personality at all. She remembers something about Shin who said something like this 'murder, I murdered...' She was afraid of him, and since he claimed that they were going out, that was obviously strange to him. Eventually she gets to this point where she is in the memory she saw, and it ended up being a misunderstanding. Walking home, she gets hit by a truck. That's when I was like, WTF!?! So then she goes back in time to the day where she first woke up AGAIN and it's not the same AGAIN! This time she sees a memory of herself being attacked by these girls. It was weird. In this world, Ikki, the blue one, was the one that she was dating. He had a fanclub, and that was the group that ended up bullying her when she relived the memory. Orion shows up and explains that she is jumping through different worlds. The Heroine tries to play along, since Shin relized her memories were gone, but even Ikki noticed that she was off from 'usual'. I actually found it weird how she had no personality and made a NEW one because she remembered NOTHING, except how to talk and do math. So she and Ikki had a happy moment but then his fangirls came and put her into a boat with no oars into a lake.... she couldn't swim. It got holes and capsized. She then went to another world to the original day again. And this was getting kind of annoying at this point. So it takes awhile for the plot to get going and there is an overall more plot over all of THAT beyond all the mini plots as well. So then she goes through Kent, the smart one, who figures it out, and actually LIKES likes her the way she is and she was probably super duperdy happy. (plus she had a vision about that one earlier as well) And Orion was back. Kent helps explain it a little more. Then she goes to Tama who is NUTZ but sweet. And so she deals with that crazy shiz. And well, that was super adorable and I kind of liked that one. And then they went to another guy. A guy I didn't think would get in there. Of course HIS was even MORE confusing than all the other ones. Not even going to TRY to explain that one. The jist of it, Ukyo wanted to be in a world with his lover alive (the heroine) so he was given a chance to find that world. In the end he died every time and he was then brought back (a lot like the Heroine) and so he got an alternate personality that wanted to kill the heroine, along with the world she is in. The ENTIRE world is trying to kill her. Like trains, explosions, and electric wires. All Ukyo wanted was a world where he and her were alive together. It was so sad. Ukyo is currently my favorite. Anyway, so on August 31st is the day that the world will stop trying to kill her. So his alternate personality comes out and tries to kill her 15 minutes until the end. (plus she has a vision of the building she was about to die in earlier in the series actually the beginning of the series) So he stabs himself and sends his bad personality away while the building is burning. Ukyo tells her to go as he lays there and she refuses. When it hits Midnight on the 30th his wish is granted and he's happy. SO she's transported to somewhere else. Where she is there with Orion and his master. His master SUPER explains it that makes close to no sense and so he sends her to her original world, and he also says that she isn't going to be allowed to remember Orion. She goes out and she sees 4 cards. She smiles and walks toward one. The end. So crappy ending too. But if your willing to get through the dull, confusing parts its not bad. I sorta liked it. Okay, that's it! BYE!

Oh wait, first, I just realized that you guys didn't ever see a pictures of Orion or Ukyo. Ukyo is my favorite so do NOT fall in love with him!!
